Sun Mote Copse Waking young and feeling old

Niamh had never considered having kids on her own. She'd always pictured having the perfect, handsome man in the picture, and the two of them together would be surrounded by a multitude of kids. It seemed odd, to her, to hear of a female who amused themselves with the thought of having children without having a male involved. It was nice to be loved- and supported, and have that extra help when the kids came, if she ever had any. But she could see Wraen's point; if Niamh hadn't met Colt, she supposed she'd still want to have kids of her own. 

"I get that," She said, with a nod. "But I dunno about it making life easier. I'm gonna FULLY and COMPLETELY depend on Colt whenever we're allowed to have kids," She emphasized, with a laugh. Her ears perked when Wraen took an interest, then, in the way she'd met her hopefully mate-to-be. Wraen was easy to talk to- she asked questions that Niamh liked to answer, and posed ideas that were fun to think about. Kiwi was right, as skeptical as she was of other wolves- Wraen was definitely alright. 

"Actually, it's a kinda funny story." She began, doing her best to set the expectations high. "It'd just been raining for like...Days, and I was doing a patrol along the edge of the plateau- toward the south, where it leaks down into the floodplains." She said. "So there I was, walking along an' minding my own business when I slipped- and ended up pretty much flying down the side of the plateau on my arse, tumbling more'n a tumbleweed caught in wreckhouse winds, and when I finally came to a stop at the bottom, Colt was just there." She said. For a moment, her tone might have implied that Colt had stepped in to be a gentleman, but she cut that thought short abruptly. "An' he made fun of me."
