The Sentinels unliking

As they maneuvered through the woods, he was not sure they would find anything here. Though the sky above aloud light to pour down, given the fact that more of the trees were dead, leafless, even if it had no been winter. But there was life yet still, scurrying of rodents and serpent,  making life in the rot and dirt of the forest floor. 

Lion, she spoke his nickname she had given him and his ginger ears perked, tugging at his attention. Fiery eyes turned back to her as she questioned his true name. Aiolos. He spoke with a smile, happy that the woman was interested enough to ask. In ways, she seemed distant, like some far off mythical sea creature he would never understand. But he was picking up on those very subtle signs she showed of interest. And you? Something maybe shorter then 'that mysteriously quiet siren with the dorsal stripe.' He chuckles. That, or the woman which was colored like sand and stone on rocky beaches or even like a river otter.
