Nimbus Summit Kiss with a Fist

The journey to the summit had been difficult, to say the least. The rain continued to pour and while she didn't have to worry about swimming through any deep water, or avoiding a current, her main obstacle had been the thick, sticky mud that slowed her down and wore her muscles out. Once or twice, she'd had to really lean and pull to get one of her feet out, while she tried to keep the other three from sinking in, but it wasn't anything that concerned her terribly. She made it, and hadn't had any moments where she panicked, thinking that it'd be too hard for the kids to handle. She tried to see the journey mostly from their perspective- and found herself  feeling that they could make it- but it would be hard...And best done only if absolutely necessary. Forcing three kids through that much muck...And forcing her three kids through that much muck...Well, that'd be enough stress to last her about a decade or two. 

So when she reached the peak she knew she should spend a few hours resting for the journey back- but not before she did a bit of an inspection first. She knew that other creatures had likely been forced to go to higher ground, and that could mean other wolves, other packs, or other predators. Before she brought her family here, she'd need to scope out the territory first, and assess the potential risks it posed.
