It would get ruined—first by the whelping, then by everything that came after that—but it would make the den a little comfier for Avicus.

It took her a while to clear out the space, then go and retrieve the skin. When she finished, Masquerade took a step back and admired her handiwork. It wasn’t her opinion that mattered, however. She turned her muzzle toward Avicus and Ashlar, giving them a bit of a bashful smile before ranging over to them.
