Maia didn’t recognize the call, but was in the middle of a hunt when it came. She considered finishing but couldn’t bring herself to make someone wait like that. With a quiet sigh she abandoned the trail and set a pace for the source of it. She could always finish after, and hope that the trail hadn’t gone cold.
