It could not have been Druid that turned Sialuk from him; she had her own wife and husband, and sharing was not alien to her.

His body was already reacting to Sialuk's presence and he would have ignored her words, except a part of him - that trained, domesticated, soldier part - knew he could not take what was not offered freely. He was frustrated, and confused.
