Mal didn't really have that same baggage -- like at all. Grow up with no rules and as long as everything seems fine, then it is. And so, Mal had not a clue that any of it might be bothering her. Hua seemed happy enough, so stuff was fine, he supposed.

Or will it all be a surprise? Unsurprisingly it was also in jest -- he didn't expect her to throw a party or anything, but it sounded good. And he wouldn't be surprised if there was something she maybe would have in mind that'd make it more than a day trip.
