All Welcome
Intended for @Legend :D

After a few days of traveling through the lowlands the lake in front of him was a welcome sight. Hurrying to the shore he leaned his head down to lap at the water, laying down once he had gotten his fill.

He hoped the weather would begin to cool down sooner than later, however he knew that he would need to find a more permanent home before then. While he had never liked the heat, he knew shouldn't be too eager for the winter - he likely wouldn't survive it alone, and most groups weren't too eager to take in someone who could do little more than treat illness.

A black adder slithered through the rocks in a deadly silence. Yet where scales should have glistened, sleek, obsidian fur clung to a skinny body. A raccoonish pattern fixed along it's back, and spire ears. The creature's form elongated with each fluid movement, and its waist was limited to singular curves than that of a true blooded snake. Eyes, ghostly and owlish, and set upon a fallen figure ahead.

A coy smile floated on her inky mouth, and she fell into a sit not far away. Perfect posture, legs tucked in, back up straight, and muzzle aimed down into her chest fur.

Mischievious!

Nobody there to save him from her mouth!

"Is He tired?"

Phobos placed his head on the ground, too busy thinking over his past few days to pay attention to his surroundings. A rare sight.

His feelings were just as sour as they were sweet. The discovery of certain expectations had ruined his meal ticket east, however his experiences during his time travelling south in the lowlands were remarkably pleasant.

He felt like a teenager again. It was ridiculous - he was too old to have his own feelings confusing him. He would allow himself to mope until he was rested, and then he was going to get over it. If that was his will, then that would be the way.

The strange man with a dark-capped head had no words to return. No long sentences, and no startled acknowledgment coming from an ignited fear. Annoyance, even, not shown! Why! Why, why, why?

As if she were no more important than the same nothingness that was stared off into, and yet maybe there was a vulnerability there-- a sanctuary in the silence. Silence, however, that would be broken by the sound of a wistful voice. It would still be admired by the dark mink as a trinket, his.. Pondering. Or maybe there was nothing in his rat head at all.

In the blink of a bird's, closer behind the wolf.

"Can He hear?"

Suddenly, he became aware of the fact that he was not alone. Lifting his head he looked behind him to spot the source of the voice. Spotting a she-wolf that did not appear to have any company besides himself, he raised an eyebrow at the phrase she spoke. Just who was she speaking to?

"You don't appear to have any sort of companion, so who are you asking such a ridiculous question?"

He mimicked the question as he thought it, though his words came out a bit more cruel than he intended as a result of his past few sleepless nights.

That inky head came to a sharp tilt, dulled only by the spring of soft fur. It could almost distract from those lifeless dead eyes floating above stilt legs. Ghostly, they stayed upon his figure and bore through the holes that she decided to drill into the mans soul. Those hackles lifted up into an eerie flare that cut sharp in the wind, and then fell once more to a delicate smoothness over the woman's spine. Her tail curved curiously.

Another question now.

"Is He bothered?"

An observation came to her and was spoken mindlessly, as if it could confirm further that thought.

"He is thinking."

The behavior of the stranger was odd, and he couldn't quite put a paw on what the intentions were. Taking another moment to check for another wolf nearby, he assumed she must be speaking to him. Either that or herself, but he may as well answer the questions proposed to him.

"I'm not bothered, confused maybe."

Never before had he come across a wolf who spoke in this manner, leaving him unsure of how to react.

She missed the shelter that was Akashingo.

Soon sitting, a blink draws out and she took his words into careful consideration. Confused, but unbothered. Was it her then? She, if no one else, to draw this confusion?

Legend liked that and answered again, ears touched by the rolling winds.

"She sees."

He now stared back at the other, putting his troubles aside as he crossed his paws. If he could keep this odd wolf around for a bit longer it could provide him with some form of entertainment.

"The way you speak - I've never heard it before." He flicked his tail upwards. "Is it purposeful?"

Other's tended to enjoy the questions he asked at first - it made them feel as though he was interested. Everyone seemed to enjoy holding the interest of other's, for one reason or another.

Oh, but she had scarcely heard those he speak as he did before reaching the Pharaoh's people.

The woman's muzzle twitched. "Pur........pose.." Then, wider eyes and a deeper tilt to her head. "Ful."

Purpose. Ful. Purpose, theme of discourse, subject, and with intent. Ful, full of, having, characterized by, volume, and attached to nouns.

Pur. Pose. Ful. Silly common speak. She can entertain this purposeful and his fancy big words.

"Is His speech purposeful?" Sad man. Alone man. Not yet catered to Akashingo or bowed to their Pharaoh. It must've been a lost journey for him.

"Does speech confuse him, and that is why he is alone?"

"I have no issue with 'speech' as far as I know." He raised an eyebrow, returning her question to her a moment after.

"Why are you alone?"

She had no business knowing the contents of his journey - and while it would certainly feel good to complain it didn't seem as though she was the right wolf for that.

An echo formed along the flatlands.

"She doesn't know."

Why was she alone?

The ringing in her ears grew loud, and fizzled out slowly. Still centered upon her vision was the dark man. Lonely, lonely dark man.. The initial question bounced back from the shadows with new words.

"Does he wish to stay alone?"

He was somewhat surprised by the question. He couldn't yet decipher whether she was simply looking to be a bug, or make conversation. She had not yet made herself a threat, so he saw no reason to turn her away.

"If you wish to stay, I will not stop you."

She seemed to respond well to his questioning, and with that thought he realized that he had not yet asked what was likely the most obvious part of any conversation. "Could I ask your name?"
