All Welcome
set for tomorrow! feel free to reply or just reference it in the background <3

on the second evening, senmut lifted himself atop the dais in the main hall, touched with ash and the emblems of his station, and as the throng went on about their feasting, his dark-painted eyes looked curiously for @Legend.

and then the gods moved within senmut, and his rich voice soon poured into the space; a hymn for pharaoh.

"she is the lord; abundance is her utterance.
The Serpent cometh at her will.
she is the lord of graciousness, who is greatly beloved.
she cometh and sustaineth her subjects.
she setteth in motion everything that is made.
she worketh in the Celestial Water,
making to be the pleasantness of the light.
The gods rejoice in her beauty,
and their hearts live when they see her."

Scurrying feet that stayed unsettled through dark halls and passed empty chambers. Slinking, quiet and shadowy. Dim-lit stairways and sand paths leading to ending tunnels. Still being excavated. Echoes of groundwater seeping through cracks and hitting the tunnel floors.

When the coronation ran hoarse of chattering mouths and grand speeches, those satellite ears kept to a turning swivel, crossing paths with the waves of colorful sounds to her. Blues, she pointed her nose to; yellows, she felt her ears vibrate to; greens, she sat by with lanky legs and a pinched waist. Dizzying, disorienting colors she tasted upon daily.

Foggy eyes appeared from behind the corridor. She watched the Erpa-ha, alien-like and touching the most basic things with a shameless settle of curiosity. She stared, low and tired. Her brain trying to move cogs and gears that did not want to move. She did not understand why they did not.

Nor did she understand, or consider, why next she moved to in front of the dais, centered with the line of Erpa-ha. Stomach on cold floors, ears tilted towards him, and her head tucked between her front legs as she hid her gaze from him. She bowed to the position of prayer. Of servitude, of worship. As she once had. Where she could listen to the red of Senmut's voice that surged through her skin, that overtook her mind. Where her bones could crawl. Where she did not need to think anymore.
Only listen.
