She had expected to find Argent back in Moonspear, but even after an afternoon and early evening of searching, she did not find him. This did not set her mind to unease. He would return, she knew, to comfort their son and daughter. What kept him away just now would not matter when they faced one another again. The starwoman made her way to the ulaq she had shared with many, her paws weary from her visit to Sapphique.

There was still light in the sky when she curled up on the old doe skin, tucking her nose beneath her tail as she drifted to sleep.

wounds had mended to scars, and what violence had once been on display was now beginning to hide in the regrowth of fur. he'd been granted brief discharge from the healing ulaq and care of his mother, though with strict instructions not to push himself too hard.

all the time given to rest and recover had left the boy with more thoughts in his head than he knew what to do with, though there were two in particular he knew he would voice to his family.

it was with as much cheer as he could muster that he followed along the discovered trail of anaa. he'd missed her during her time beyond the mountain, and found himself seeking her out with hurried steps. when he found her, tucked asleep within the family ulaq, he cautiously squeezed himself next to her as he'd done many times before.

head placed carefully on snow tipped toes, he let himself drift off into a light slumber, content to lay there until she woke.

Asleep, Sialuk reflexively put a forearm over her son and pulled him close when he came to lie beside her. She resettled for a long while, dreaming of children yet to come. When her eyes finally fluttered open to find Acrux curled beside her, she smiled and began to groom the top of his head. He may be growing, but he was still young, and she was still anaa.
