All Welcome
Their modest station in the pass came to bore the prince. He announced brashly to his men that he was to set off that morning. Half his regiment would stay to assist in fortifying the pass, the second would advance east. Servants were sent to each of the assemblies from Akashingo, advising of this decision with an open invitation to join him.

By day the regiment pushed across the jagged land, a long and winding caravan seeking higher ground with a fresher water source than the dwindling remains of the serpent in Luneshale.

By night he was increasingly deprived of royal dues in want of the divine presence of his Queen, but heated by the contest for her pleasure and the spiteful looks upon princely faces when he had her at last bound to him.

By dusk the smell of water heightened, the limestone ridgeline revealed a path through her naval and the procession funneled into a dank, walled expanse.

Melody had not expected anyone to find her here.

Least of all a man who smelled of Akashingo. Yet the figure was unfamiliar to her — and there were others, too, others she didn't know. Melody stepped from the shadows to greet them. Akashingo? First, confirmation; her eyes were guarded, searching intently for recognition. The scents on them were telling, but Melody had grown paranoid in her solitude.

There is a great danger for one woman’s voice that tolls in the attendance of bone-tired men, who themselves grow weary of masculine company; who are spent from the desert road, but eager to hold and be held, and a sweet voice in the air reminds them of just how persistent a need it is. The voyagers accumulated behind their prince in a pile of restless shadows, each vying for a look at the girl.

“Enough,” the prince is quick to ward off smoldering tongues with a snarl of his own that commanded she is not to be touched. He shot a glare at @Siatum. It is an unspoken order that any man found touching this girl would be gelded.

“We journey on behalf of Queen Toula of Akashingo. I am prince Rashpeses,” his introduction is made with a graceful forward step. She is indeed beautiful with a coat of bronze and emerald eyes of well-bred nobility.

“Are you from the pack?” He asked, maintaining a distance. She appeared to be alone and he would not frighten her off. He gestures to a servant, “My men will bring you something to eat if you are hungry.”

He's bound to Prince Rashepses' side. His tail is a thick bladed sword that idly fans his wards body, creating motions of air to cool skin. The shuffling of slinking figures and curious men bring his teeth to a shiver; one he expands on and makes the air CLACK when he feels there's not an adequate settle. Not a hair to move, he underlines the heirs commands.

After all, it is only a word that restrains him and only a word that indulges him. A calm breath seeps down his nares, his ear flicking to turn towards the voice of the Prince in eased patience.
