For a second, she panicked- wondering if she was about to suffer the same ordeal Screech had gone through- but then the air escaped her with a gut-wrenching sob. She startled herself, as the tears began to fall, and ashamedly, rubbed her face furiously against one beige forelimb, and staggered back to her den to curl up and nurse her wounded ego.
