Sun Mote Copse Still getting used to road regrets

There's a full lunar eclipse here tonight...So I figured I'd write that here too.

Having caught herself a partridge for a late evening snack after patrolling part of the borders, Niamh set off for the interior territories of the pack, hoping to find @Colt at some point. It was a chilly night, but mostly clear with only a few scattered, filmy clouds tracing their way across the sky, and when Niamh had looked up shortly after sunset, the moon had begun to rise in the East, hanging on the horizon like a massive, off-white eye. It looked bigger than usual, and had caught Niamh's attention then, even though she wasn't one for watching the skies. The moon being full meant that the night would be cold- which meant that she might possibly be able to convince Colt to her her snuggle with him, even just for the night, so that they both stayed warm. 

When she looked up again, though, half of the moon was gone. She froze, staring at it and squinting. It had been full not so long ago- so why did it look like half a month had passed? She was slightly startled by the change in the moon's shape, and so she found a clearing and sat down, still staring the moon down- and she could have sworn to herself that the moon's crescent was getting smaller and smaller. She wasn't sure what to think of this- or if there was really anything that could be done...Or if when the moon disappeared, that the world too would disappear in its entirety. It made her slightly anxious to see a phenomenon like this, so she called out for her ex-mate, hoping that he might know what was going on. The moon was a crescent now, a gleaming silver smile; but something about that smile was off-putting.[/ooc]
