astara had nearly slipped off before a call behind her came — turning an angled muzzle over slender shoulder astara briefly met ibis’ searching gaze. 

that was all there was in rejoinder — had astara even the faculties to speak, it was unlikely she’d expose herself so easily. instead she simply shrugged those thin shoulders, turned back around, and continued to put distance between herself and the girl’s would-be dark knight. 

an ear was folded back, listening for any evidence ibis followed — but astara was in this moment firmly invested in escaping before terance’s teeth found her.
