It was bewildering to see such a small lad, a creature so small that it would fit within his paw, one day out growing to be a strapping young man. "I'm afraid i'm not food, little one," he chastised as small lips sealed around his toe, tiny teeth that did not hurt gumming at his fur.

Retracting his paw slowly, the large man rolled down to the earth, stretching his legs out around the youngster and slowly, tentatively, poking at it with his nose.
