He couldn't say he agreed with her line of thinking. Riley was many things, and many of them ugly, but he was not a natural born liar. He happened to dislike lying very much, and liars even moreso. It had been one of the bigger reasons he had voluntarily left the Saints. Donovan's ability to flip his charm off and on like it was a lightswitch, the way he lied carelessly and cruelly -- it provoked in Riley feelings that were abundantly uncomfortable.

"Lying is wrong." Riley insisted. He didn't know why, but he just knew. He wasn't so introspective as to ask Orlaith how she'd feel if he lied to her -- but he knew it didn't really matter. She was as opinionated as he was, and very little would change that.

Once more, the pair spent the rest of the day together. Bit by bit Riley was becoming closer to Orlaith, and in turn, began to feel more comfortable around her.
