Dwin was continuosly amazed at, how different the shoreline looked at each place she visited. She had seen white-sandy beaches, she had climbed rocks and, where no other option had been available, she had swam, fighting against the waves and stubbornly paddling towards the destination. The sea spirits had been merciful towards the plains and forest wolf, though sometimes Dwin was under impression that their occasional attempts to drown her were part of their games.
Today she had come to a place, where the water was as bright blue as the sky itself - such a difference from the steely greys and browns she had seen elsewhere. Trees here were odd looking as well - reminded her of pine trees that were so abundant near caldera. She had sat down to admire the view and memorize every detail. She rummaged through the mental bookshelves and boxes to find appropriate stories that would go along with the view. When she had finished, she almost regretted that she was so far away from her home and could not share the tales right away. But - come late autumn and winter - those stories of warm summer days would come in handy.
She then had decided to seek out a resting place more inland, perhaps, find something more usual than sea-food she had consumed plenty of recently. There she came across another wolf - a lot younger than her and for a split of a second the man reminded her of Frolic, who would have been the same age or maybe a tad bit older now. "Hi!" she greeted the fellow in a friendly manner, tail wagging, eyes smiling kindly. "Where the path is taking you, young wanderer?"
