She came back to him, albeit unconsensually, but she stuck by him after she learned of his feelings. Yet, he could tell Leigh fancied him and he her. If Simmik had never come back, if he had never made that fateful decision, then he would’ve been stuck to Leigh’s side instead of Simmik’s. He would’ve gotten over her eventually.
