All Welcome
Tagging @Evergreen for reference but anyone is welcome!

Chai had been working hard as of late. She contributed where she could, which mainly involved marking the borders and stocking the caches for the pack. She had not yet ventured outside the security of the territory, perhaps a little paranoid that she would run into an unwelcome face.

She was also doing a lot of thinking lately. Pondering on where she could excel...on what specialty she should pursue. Often she found herself immersed up to her elbows in the river, finding the crisp temperature of the water refreshing in the summer heat. As she watched the water flow by around her legs, she could only wish that her insecurities were swept away so easily.

The stretch of river that Kaistleoki claimed was healthy. Alive and full of various fresh water fish, mussels and amphibians. Chai was aware of the Count's love of fish in particular. At first, she had been on the fence about them. But after a few hard-earned catches, she came to appreciate them. The fresh, hearty taste of pink flesh between her teeth was satisfying. It was even more so when she was rewarded with a specimen full loaded with tiny, bead like eggs, adding an extra sense of delicacy.

Today, when she made her daily trip down to the water, what she found was nothing short of surprising. Her icy blue eyes widened in awe. Immersed in the water, was a fish of massive proportions. If she had to guess, it was pushing six feet in length and weighed just shy of 200 pounds. Yet it moved slowly, with an odd sort of placidness. What Chai was looking at for the first time, was a Lake Sturgeon. How it had found its way here, she couldn't even imagine. Edging closer to get a better look, only one idea formed in her head. This was a feast that could feed the pack for weeks. But alone, Chai had no chance of hoisting such a mammoth creature from the river. Her thoughts went to Evergreen. Surely, he'd know what to do. Delighted and buzzing with excitement, she threw her head back and called for him and the pack, as if to say 'come look what I found!'

Tagging all available wolves that might be interested! @Ira / Tobias, @Reiko, @Winterbourne, @Deimos, @Emrik & @Radar

The summon by Chai is unexpected enough that Evergreen drops whatever he is doing to meet her. Constantly a worry-wart, the bearish Count finds himself concerned that her former pack may be her and giving her trouble. Alas, he relaxes when he realizes it isn't a call to arms, but a ringing of the dinner bell.

He, too, sets off a howl a distance a way, a recognition that he is on his way, and that others able should join them at Chai's location. Approaching the water, his excitement grew. Chai is following through with the hunt idea from the meeting, and he couldn't be more pleased with her initiative.

Chai, wha— Evergreen cuts off. Mismatched green eyes had gone from the cappuccino colored female to the giant fish casually strolling in their waters. He's never seen a fish that big, and even the Count is left shocked. His jaw goes slack. That can feed the entire pack, he thinks. Or one hungry Evergreen at least.

A howl goes up and soon another responds calling out again. The constable had already turned from her patrol when Chai called, but Evergreen's voice pushed her into a sprint. She wasn't sure what they had found, but they had called for everyone so it had to be important. It was only a matter of time until she arrived and looking around it was clear she was the first to answer. Right as she was about to question the call, her gaze followed the bear's to the river gaining an expression of equal shock (or at least as equal as a stone-faced woman could get).

The creature was huge, as big as a wolf if not more and despite its slow pace now, she was sure dragging it out of the river would prove difficult. Nothing ever just sat by to die if given the chance to retaliate. Wow... the word was barely a whisper on her lips as she glanced back to Evergreen. He was the expert fisher here, what exactly was his plan to drag the thing out?

She was just out and about like usual, staying out of everyone’s way but also doing patrols and hunting whenever she could catch something. Radar heard the commotion that was nearby and she saw Ira and Evergreen as well as another she had not yet met. She gazed upon a the river. The fish she saw was huge.
