All Welcome
Lane is looking for @Asphodel, sometime shortly after this thread. Dated around December 5.

After the rain passed and Rye was settled in the packlands, Lane went in search of the ivory-pelted woman. She had vaguely recalled that there had been another wolf present at the border with Rye, who had disappeared once the conversation took an emotional turn. The woman had clearly not arrived with Rye, so she must have been a new packmate.

As alpha, Lane had a responsibility to be kind and receptive to all of her packmates, particularly the new recruits. She had failed in this with the newcomer, selfishly wrapping herself up completely in Rye, physically and emotionally. She meant to find the woman with the berries-and-cream coat and set things right.

As far as Asphodel was concerned, authority figures were to be avoided. If they were around, it was usually for one of two reasons: either they wanted something from you, or you'd done something wrong. Neither was a reason she wanted to deal with right now. Honestly, it'd been awhile since she'd wanted to do anything at all. Now that she felt safe, finally, after so many months, she was just... crumbling. Collapsing inward like soft rotten wood.
There was some measure of guilt to the whole thing, of course. She hadn't intended on being dead weight when she joined; she'd had plans, skills to offer. Now she felt hollow and tired, and almost beyond caring whether the pack kicked her out or not. So, despite the faint twinge of anxiety that kindled in her chest when (assuming she would recognize her by now at least from scent/description) the other leader of the Glacier pack appeared, seemingly seeking her out, Asphodel's greeting and overall reaction was best described as lethargic.
Hello, She said simply, and dipped her head, trying to at least sound polite.

Lane would find Asphodel drifting through the Lupine Flower Meadow, which was a fitting place to discover her, given the new recruit's name. Not that Lane knew her name yet.

As she walked, Lane occasionally pulled at the stalks of dried grasses that penetrated upward out of the snow. She collected the stalks in her mouth as she walked. Leadership left her with precious little time to tend to her medical stores and supplies, and she often found herself multi-tasking.

The recruit spoke first, but only because of Lane's mouth full of grass. She set her collection down and spoke. "Hey. Uh, I think I saw you the other day, but we didn't get a chance to meet." Lane was not a great reader of body language, but something about Asphodel's voice and bearing told Lane that the woman was less than thrilled to be speaking with her. She wouldn't take it personally. Grief hung heavily upon Duskfire Glacier, and it was bound to affect everyone in some shape or form.
