Their village harbored grief. Ipiktok saw it in his mother’s face. His grandmother’s. His aunt’s passing with the pathmaker had left a deep, irreperable wound on Moonglow’s spirit.

He had been away during that tumultuous time. Perhaps this was Sedna’s blessing – that Ipiktok should be saved from seeing the body of the shining water girl. Hearing the wails of his kin.

He held Sedna’s hand and let her guide him.

“Grandfather?” Ipiktok called as he tracked @Aiolos’ footsteps. The Sun Man was the partiarch of their village and someone who Ipiktok admired very much.

Aiolos had only just returned home from his extended visit in Moonspear. To say it was simply to catch up with family there would be a lie. Effectively, he had more or less been avoiding family as he had shrouded himself in an invisible cloak of grief.

Yet a moon had passed and the Sunman finally left the hot springs waters in the mountains and decided into the foothills, to the glen, then to home, where the rolling green mountains were far less imposing and far more easy to scale with his waring joints.

It didn't take long at all for someone to catch his scent and just as quickly for him to be caught up to. Hmm? The old warrior cranes his neck in the direction of his grandson. Which grandpup was this one again?? Hello Ipiktok...

Besides the wise Alpha, Ipiktok felt far more like a boy than the man he was supposed to be. A sudden bout of childlike shyness overcame him, despite wanting to ask the warrior answers to all th equestions harbored in his spirit. He tried to stand a bit taller, wanting to earn the respect of Sun Man.

“I hear there is supposed to be another great hunt…?” Ipiktok probed to break the ice. A boyish excitment was difficult to keep contained.

Aiolos looked to the tawny young man, nodding. If the young wolf was unsettled,  Aiolos didnt catch it. Yes. As far as I'm aware, Rodyn has gone out to many packs. I wonder if it will be larger then the last. He ponders, both on how the hunt will go and also if he had it in him still to do it. Ipiktok was a yearling now. A man in the eyes of the Sunshine people. He would need to be a part of the great hunt.
