for @Sihaya <3

teya had grown more and more drunk as she wove from room to room.
the pool of water beneath the mesa lapped. its sound seemed to fill her ears. she did not know how long she had been inside akashingo.
the wall blurred. teya hovered against it for strength, laughing gently.

The thin, conniving man genuinely enjoyed the festivities, meandering and talking with guests from far off lands. The Fellahin moved about and brought him food and drink as they feasted (the venison the Mazoi had caught earlier was absolutely divine). He partook in some berries, but not nearly as many as the red rascal who had been ejected from the party. Sihaya laughed merrily at their entertaining antics.

Now, he saw a tail disappear ‘round a corner towards the wellspring. Sihaya followed them into the shadows, hearing their giggle echo above the lapping waters. The wellspring’s reflection turned the ceiling a dappled turquoise and he saw a beautiful woman against the sandstone, inebriated and vulnerable.

The adder slunk towards her, orange gaze trying to catch her own. He leaned against the wall, mirroring her. “What a party,” he said in a casual tone, acting a bit more drunk than he was, breaking the silence “I don’t think I’ve ever seen festivities quite like these before.”

when she opened her eyes, it was to dazzling orange eyes in a darkened mask.
teya caught her breath. he was quite unlike any wolf she had seen before. he looked liked the ones called servant but there was not the same submission about him.
"i never been to party," the raven said, her words thickening. she looked longingly toward the pool, wondering if it would cleanse the odd sand from her paw. "i teya, of brech-liant," she stumbled with another laugh.
