There was much still to do if he was going to please his father; things to learn, people to talk to (shudder), and places to be. There was only so much that he could get done in one day, so the boy returned to the mountain's higher reaches, noticing a chill in the air. It wasn't all that he noticed — his father's scent had lost some of its strength, which could only mean that Charon had left the mountain-home for some reason. Revui was not concerned. He was unaffected by the turmoil between his parents (truthfully because he was oblivious to it), and did not presume to know his father's mind. He trusted things were alright, for they often were calm upon the mountain.

As Revui climbed he took notice of another dominant scent — that of his mother, which seemed to dominate beyond what Revui was accustomed to. She was roaming among the trees when he found her; his own advance was not subtle, but upon noticing the seriousness of her posture and the interest she was showing to the animal paths, Revui soon adjusted so that he was flanking her - silent and empathetic to whatever she was attempting. A part of him wished to impress the woman; whatever she was chasing, he would eagerly lend his strength.
