arcturus wondered what it was like to trust something -- or someone -- so implicitly as to believe their judgment and their way of perceiving the world was correct. he had once thought that way about his own big sister. he had built his world around that belief, and when that idocus toppled it had taken nearly everything from him in the process.

this mindset was a double-edged sword. arcturus liked to believe he trusted wraen's belief in others implicitly - somehow, she was the sole exclusion to his trust-no-one clause. perhaps in that way, love made reason and ambitions blind.
