I'll come visit, and teya's point of focus narrowed to very little, holding there no matter what else bridget said. it was done, over. it was done. there was nothing else to do but move into the future that she had created for herself.
she reached for bridget's paw, just for a momentary squeeze she did not allow to linger. and not for lack of deep want. she wanted to hold the cardinal longer, to kiss her against the backdrop of mountain heights and black feathers.
and how very selfish that would be in the end.
