It was not unlike Caiaphas to carry a lie to outrageous proportions, and as Larus suddenly embraced her she was forced to reassess the commitment she had just made. The gesture somewhat surprised her, but she tried her best not to allow her surprise to be evident. As Larus pressed his body against her she supplanted several tender licks to his cheek in rebuke.
His question was met with a devious smile -- if she could contort Larus into believing she was his mother, perhaps it would provide her with a lifetime of loyalty. Unflinching, she delivered an answer. "I am now, little one." She purred smoothly, the yellow flicker of her gaze half-hooded with impish menace.
