If Kesuk's expression was haughty, Caiaphas' was downright condescending. With a sneer curling her black gums, Caiaphas watched Kesuk's form retreat. If she spread the word their borders were poorly marked, perhaps it would send more wolves their way -- the Sound was deplorably low on captives, and the idea of sustaining their empty captive quarters excited the waif.
