Caiaphas instantly shifted in demeanor, delighted to practice her most favored lie upon this newly unsuspecting wolf. The angular wretch's expression looked vaguely earnest -- as if helpful -- and carefully she lowered her muzzle to deposit her quarry into the cold sand. "The Amazons live northward, flanked by the cliffs." She offered a beguiling smile -- pleased by how smoothly her deception was sailing. "I don't see them often, but at the Bay they haven't bothered us."

Caiaphas placed a slender paw on her butchered fish, her smile fading into an expression of seemingly genuine inquiry. "You a friend of theirs?"
