sounds good! <3

It would take more than Mahler's assurance of the opposite to make her change her mind. As his mother, she should be there for Stag no matter what. It may be an impossible standard, but that didn't stop her from feeling like a terrible mother when she couldn't meet it. Her disagreement was obvious as she dismissed his words with a raised eyebrow and an averted gaze.

She had already come to terms with the fact that going with him would mean allowing him to help her even more than he already had and in more ways than one, so she only nodded when he assured her that he would help her make the journey. But his next words were dismissed as well. She had earned her place in Diaspora not in his new home, and she wouldn't operate under the assumption that she was owed something or that she was any different than anyone else receiving help from his pack with being a member prior. She would repay him whether he wanted her to or not. But rather than argue with him, she just let it go for now. She was more focused on the difficulty of getting up and walking from the cave. Her muscles burned and tightened, angry that they were being called on in their weak state. She compartmentalized the pain, though, and came to Mahler's side, ready to be led to his home—as ready as she could be anyway.
