The going was slow, but Opalia had worked her way over the Sunspire range in the last day, leaving the scent of Moonspear well behind her by now. Often, she thought about what Saarthal had told her--to take the time to grieve. She wondered if this was what this could be called. Sometimes, she felt like she only wandered lost in a miserable haze yet in other distinct moments, the overpowering clarity could cut her to the bone. She was feeling the fatigue of it, whatever it was, but still would search.. even if her trails always felt too many steps behind, or too vague. It was still something, so she kept going.
After a relatively restful night spent trying to recharge at the base of a foreign, squat mountain, the gona set off towards the forests in the flatlands with the first sign of morning light. Although she had to be careful of such unfamiliar places, hunger pinched at her belly, so her eyes were sharp for something to do about that. Thankfully, just into the cover of the woodlot, she smelled rabbit and stalked over the hills right into reward of her first fresh blood of the day.
She found a bit of cover and settled, panting to catch her breath while a suspicious glance accompanied her every move. As the squealing stopped, she ripped into her fresh kill and ate quickly--all so she could get back on the move soon with the entirety of some unfamiliar forest and beyond ahead of her. It was best she not stall long with blood on the wind while feeling so far from home. At least she made short work of that, then picked her heading at whim: aimed mostly south but a bit towards the morning sun too when the trees allowed.
By now, she had lost track of the days anyway.

The scent of blood had drawn him first, wolf scent catching his attention only after he starts toward the source. @Kratos is off hunting somewhere, and Zephyr has some time to kill, so he decides to satisfy his curiosity. He moves quickly, silent and wary of what the trees might hide. He'd learned from time spent surviving with Helios that in the earliest hours of the day, creatures of the night can still be lurking near. It doesn't take long to find the source of the scent, thankfully. A pale girl, small yet larger than himself, and every bit as sturdy. There's something sad about her, too; Zephyr normally isn't the most observant wolf, but even he notices it.
Hey,He calls, suddenly uncertain of what to say.
You look sad.He hadn't meant to say that, but oh well.

The woods spanned on, the gona going with their trails until the silvery wolf came upon her. Her first response wanted to be peeved--even on guard she had only barely noticed the approach, which was not soon enough for her tastes when she did not want to underestimate a foe out here in some forest she couldn't call by any name. When she stopped, she pulled up her head, though it lacked her usual fervor.
Maybe this stranger had crossed paths with Praimfaya once.. but that was a longshot, she knew it. Either way, she knew nothing of what was on this side of the mountain. Anything could potentially be a gain...
Hei,she dropped back in reply. The observation gave her a confusing irritation that narrowed her eyes a touch before she could steady up more properly for a truly good look at her company.
Is it that obvious?she asked before a slow exhale. She had been sad for so long, it wasn't new, and she didn't think she would meet the end of it any time soon. Maybe she wore it more plainly than she had even bothered to realize, especially when she had lost track of time already--it wouldn't surprise her any.
I am. I have been. It's.. I don't know. It's ugly, she sighed, and looking away for a second when she felt awfully discontent with that summary--but not about to unpack so terribly unprompted. Instead, she offered back her name first for a much more reasonable start and tried to settle; nothing was raising any alarms yet.
I'm Opalia.she offered, before she got a better feel for this, in which she would try to find out what she could.
