Amalia was napping. She always felt like she was napping or so energetic she disgusted herself. And of course vomit was her constant companion. She had gotten into the habit of sniffing herself daily to make sure she didn't smell like her regurgitated food. It was deplorable. But it had at least eased up some.

Today was no different she woke up with a start unsure what it was exactly. She looked about blearily giving her paws and chest and obligatory barf sniff. And slowly began to waken. But her yawn was interrupted by a yelp and then an even harder yelp as something or more so someone kicked her from the inside out. So hard in fact she felt the vibrations in her rear.

She stared in shock and awe as her stomach literally rippled. What was she birthing? An alien? Was this child gonna come out like the hulk all muscles and big. Because that kick and the ones following smarted big.

Killdeer happened to be nearby when Amalia began to yelp in surprise, and he made a beeline for his mate, ears pinned back in concern. 

Hey, what's up? he asked her, voice suffused with concern. He gave her a scan, brows knitted together, before his gaze widened upon noticing the movement along her distended belly.

Oh, my God, Killdeer murmured, sinking to his knees nearby (though keeping his distance, in case she didn't want him too close). What he saw made it all too real, in a way that was both thrilling and terrifying. That's. . .that's them! That's our babies. 

He sob-laughed, overwhelmed, tears coming to his eyes.

She was thrown from her moment of awe when Killer came on the scene. She met his concerned gaze with a perplexed one of her own. Because frankly having a child kick from the inside out, well that was a whole different type of weird. And she didn't know if there was enough counselors in the world to fully grasp the concept of what was happening and all the emotions that were going through her at this entire moment.

She motioned him closer. You can get all in there, but be warned you may get a sharp kick to your face. A black eye, a bruised jaw. you know. I'm carrying some kind of super ninja here.

She smiled at him then. Her own eyes a little misty despite the lightness of her tone.
