Wheeling Gull Isle good morning america!

everything, simple — evening's embrace brought colder winds than before, blowing the air heavy with salt into their den's opening. huojin's complaints had stopped after the first few hours, during which he might have been heard screaming in protest to the alarming cold.

of course, he found solace in ruo's embrace. the seabird finished suckling at her side but kept his mouth locked around the teat. his body drifted into a light sleep, though easily stirred.

Aiolos did not come with food, not today. An unsuccessful morning left him to his disposal and he found himself restless now more then ever. You would think he would not be, with a new son and yet he had often been out and about scouting, visiting other packs, exploring the coast...

Now he played the role of butler, unsure how to react or what to do for Ruo and the crying pup. Alas at a time when the child was settled, Aiolos dipped his head quietly into the opening of the den. Need to stretch your legs? An offering would be made to the little sand and storm colored mother as his attention befell their son then.

something entered their space. huojin's head lifted and the teat was released with a pop! while he searched for the scent's source. vibrations ran through the den, giving some hint of the thing's location, though he was too weak to reach it. 

instead, he crawled to the end of ruo's body. there, somewhere between thigh and groin, huojin settled onto his belly for more much needed rest.

The child lifted from nursing, sniffing, searching, struggling to hold his own head up. Aiolos couldnt help the smile, finding it hard to remember a time when he was so young. He couldnt. Any fond memories like this at his mother's side, a single pup just like Huojin, were washed away by memories of torment and bullying once he was old enough to leave the den. 

Aiolos, after finding a silent approval  from Ruo, would slip into the confines of the den. He had not fully been within since their time together which ended up in the creation of this pup. He settled down close, hoping the child would take in his scent, feel his warmth... soon enough he would hear his voice, see his face. But for now he only hoped the pup would get used to him being here from the start.

Aiolos never thought it would be a father, not like this. Maybe on the sidelines, watching from afar as his daughters grew up knowing their father as 'donor' only. Becoming sirens in their own right. But being a father? Having a son? Maybe he was just as overwhelmed as Ruo had been...

the starchild regained some energy and continued searching for the source. he came closer to his father's legs, close enough to feel the older man's breath lightly graze his spine, then opened his mouth to whine for warmth.

and should aiolos not provide, huojin would turn back toward the scent of milk to find his way to ruo's side.

The child struggled, just days old and was already trying to gain use if his limbs as he shuffled closer, brushing on his legs. Aiolos tail waved behind him and his head lowered, sniffing over the pup with curiosity and wonder. He shifts, moving to lay against Ruo and to curl around the pup as he whined and squealed for him. The pup wanted him and Olo couldnt help the flutter in his chest. Laying with his pup, he licked the boy along his spine and laid his head down close. He would stay here as long as he was needed.
