Hideaway Strath Like a Machine

@Derg and Nyra spar #3 <3 
Forwarded to December 15th cuz why not 

Boredom ran rampant through the Harbinger. An almost overwhelming desire to move and do something other than pace and patrol and hunt and patrol and pace and patrol and-- 

Finally fed up with being idle, Nyra threw her head back and called for her Overseer, perhaps he wouldn't mind a day of training with her? After all... 

The grind never stops.

Nyra.
Her call rang out for his specifically.
He couldn't help his mind drifting to Arlette.
He loped to the Harbinger, hoping there was nothing serious afoot.

There wasn't.
She seemed agitated - but Nyra always did. It seemed someone was always pissing her off.
Had she fucked Sasha up again? Probably not, she didn't smell of her.
He raised a brow with a quirk of his lips.
Why did you call?

As Derg approached with silent query, her facial features eased from their normal You may or may not die in three seconds look, her tail swaying with welcome friendliness as she threw the offer his way - 

"Would you mind a spar?" The Harbinger swiveled her ears back slightly, a soundless understanding for if he declined, though she hoped he wouldn't for the sake of gaining skill.

"Of course," he smiled softly.
If only he knew she wanted to spar a godzillion time after too.
Oh well, he was trapped now.

He charged at her with no warning, save for the flash of his movement and scuffle of paws on the ground.
He dipped his muzzle, hoping to connect his head to her muzzle.

Did he hit? 
Yep.
Did it hurt like a bitch?
Oh fuck yeah it did. 

Letting out a yip as he punted his crown into her nose, she stumbled back a bit, briefly dazed, before doing the exact same thing to him as he just did, aiming a decently forceful headbutt into his own nose.

He managed to knock her on the nose pretty good.
A decent, square hit.

But you reap what you sow.
Nyra hit right back with a crack of her own. Harder.
He reeled backwards, shaking his head.
Fuck.

He couldn't stop.
He lashed back, aiming to snatch her muzzle in his jaws.

Ow...ow...ow.. 

And then her muzzle. But as Derg would understand, reaping the consequences if your actions would always happen, regardless of if it was instantaneous. 

Whining sharply for the briefest second, Nyra brought back her fire just enough to try and twist her head so she was locking jaws with him instead. 

There was no guarantee it'd work, especially if he just put more force on her nose with his teeth.

Health: 11/30
The next one will be a health of 8/30 lol

She flicked her muzzle towards his, locking jaws together.
Crushing forces fighting to come out on top.
Their jaws being their biggest weapon, capable of shattering bone in short work.

He snapped his head up, dislodging from her, then driving again for her neck, Aiming to grip her jugular and wrestle her down.
It was always easier when your opponent couldn't breathe.

As he dislodged, she tried to hold on, but could not. 
Then he went for her jugular. 
Nyra's head met the ground as Derg's jaws tightened on her windpipe, holding her down. Here she brought her legs up and tried to kick at him, but it was for naught. He had too tight a hold, and she was starting to come to a panic instead of staying calm and fighting him through the lack of air. 

This was difficult... 
Forcing herself to calm down in the head, The Harbinger decided to go limp, as if she was giving up. 

Her physical parry hadn't worked, so she would have to wait him out, recoil for a better strike, figuratively.

She struggled under his hold. Warring for freedom.
She wasn't granted it. Not yet at least.
So she gave up.
Or so another wolf may think. Nyra was as savage as the Saint's could come, and her eyes held everything.

He let go, darting back as soon as he did. Letting her have a second or two to breathe.
And he drove to strike again.
He went to using his body this time to slam into her.

No teeth this time.
Let's see how she fared.

She waited, and when he jumped back, she flew for him, meeting him unexpectedly in the middle where she bit into whatever part of him she could reach while also taking his force square to the nose.

Ouch.

They collided, teeth tearing at him while he bludgeoned her in the face.
Her teeth dug into his shoulder, making him pull away with a grunt and a snap in her direction.
He didn't manage to meet her skin that time, but good enough.

He pulled back, panting and dazed.
He lowered a little with a tired smile.
Good fight. He was just out of rythmn.

Nyra smiled a similar smile as they pulled from each other. 
With a brief, grateful touch to his cheek, the battlemaiden trotted away
