All Welcome
Tag for ref, but open!

Indra was nor prone to hanging out far from the family den on the best of days, so it was with a rare sense of adventure that she wandered freely now.

The older girls had returned from their visit north and were short one of their number, which was odd, and while Indra did not care enough to miss Heda, there was now a vacancy in the posse that drew the child's attention.

Had Indra been more aware of things, she would have realized that left her with the remaining @Druid as her only means of entertainment outside of her own tiny family, and they didn't exactly get along in the first place.

The pharmacy came in to view and Indra found the familiar scent of at least one of the other more mature children there, thus her hanging around; she tried to get a glimpse of someone without arising suspicion from any of the adults that might also be nearby.

Abel strayed far from the den that day. Nothing unusual for the boy. His long, quiet, mindless walks had become a daily routine. At this point he was convinced he’d seen all of Rivenwood from the inside out dozens upon dozens of times. He’s certainly seen the pharmacy. What he’s never seen, however, was his sister roaming here. He came to a halt as soon as he spotted her familiar flaming coat
Indra?  Disbelief laced itself within his voice. Abel slowly looked to his left, then his right. He tried to swallow his nerves. Where’s mom?
There’s another constant he’d come to suspect here in Rivenwood: wherever Indra went, Laurel was bound to be nearby.

Indra did not know the terrain the way her brother did. She knew the den, the fishing spot where her mother sometimes took her for visits, and little else.

The pharmacy was a new thrill for her. It smelled strongly of many weird things, most of which made her very curious; it smelled of many different people but most of all, flowers! In the middle of winter? How?! She wasn't aware that when dried, plants had uses.

She struggled to climb across a chunk of snow-capped ice, sneaking looks in to the pharmacy as if there was a pie on a windowsill that she might want a bite of. Out of seemingly nowhere came Abel's voice.

Indra gave him a quick look, and did a double take, during which time her face twisted in to a scowl. Shh! What do you want? She was trying to get a look at whoever was inside and stupid Abel was going to ruin things!

There was no answer to his question. Only hasty shushing and a dirty look. It was perplexing as much as it was worrying. Abel’s eyes darted around once more, fully expecting their mother to appear from nowhere and whisk Indra away. Scold him for this, that, or the other on the way out. But she was nowhere to be seen, much to his surprise.
N-nothing! he gulped, turning his focus back to his sister. I didn’t know you’d be out here.

Well I am, and I'm —! She hastened to say to him, only to suddenly draw back from her point of interest and duck. Her ears were a slant; she was shaking from the adrenaline of nearly being spotted, not that she was trying to be a super spy or anything.

Someone's in there and I'm tryin'a see who. Although she frowned towards Abel, she did not chase him away or anything. With a huff she turned back to the little gap in the wall, but she couldn't muster the courage to look again.

Without turning her head she murmured, Gimme a boost!

He too ducked away. His eyes wildly searched for their mother once more. If she caught the two so far from the den, he’d surely be in a world of trouble. But thankfully there was no sign of her, just as before.
He turned towards the wall and tilted his head. Wait, how do you know— but before he could finish his sister began to order him around.
Oh! Ok, ok. He didn’t think much of it anymore. He was too jumpy to think much of anything. So he hurried to the wall and knelt to the floor.
Maybe you can try climbing on my back?

Hoping a random adult might join so they can actually spy on someone, huehuehue.

Abel was quick to do as he was told, so there was little issue. His suggestion was met with a side-eye from Indra; but she decided promptly that it was the best method given that they were both small and needed to work together.
With him kneeling by the wall, Indra moved beside him and then took care in climbing upon him, wedging her heel against the small of his back and at one point or another, smacking his shoulders, or his head, as she tried to balance.
Ok, she said in her hushed voice, before trying to balance partly against the wall, and rise up to spy upon whoever was inside.
