Wheeling Gull Isle oh no.

inhale.

oh boy.

here she was.

ontop of her rock.

a stomach, ready to burst, and a woman, ready to burst forth a raging call.

ruo was going to be a mother soon.

and unknowingly, her soon-to-be kids had cousins.

oh boy.

no one knew about her, the siren who kept to herself

for months.

if the siren suddenly came out with a buldge, how'd they react?

oh.. the father.

that's a thing.

Atop the rock. She was here. In the open. And he gasped, breathless, relieved and yet frightened all the same...

He was still in his place, frozen on the beach. He stares and breaths in her beautiful scent. Atop her rock she is swollen, heavy with child. For far too long she bad been within her shelter. She did not speak to him, did not come out. When he could (when he was in Yuelong) he would bring her food, sleep outside the rock, watching, waiting... 

Finally, he saw the little otter once again. 

It is but a whisper... Ruo...?

kill laid outside her den every once in a while, sometimes though there was a long absence for when it came. his scent clearly there, yet she still remained indoors, hiding away from the pack. ruo couldn't name a particular reason why she did so, it just felt of nature. but now that the time was closer, the sun bathing the siren, she was ready to come out.

and there he was. the father, she thought about.

oh fuck.

"lion."

well.

this is awkward.

He couldnt help the bit of smile which came over his face as she spoke the nickname which she had given him. Only this, she said, though he was far used to her quiet nature. They had never needed many words between them before. 

He came closer, approaching her rock at its base but did not move to the backside to ascend by her just yet. Fiery eyes looked up to her. Her coming out had confirmed why he thought she had been hidden. Was it fear of what her family would say? Was it a harsh and sick pregnancy? 

Do you need anything? 

It was, after all, a bit awkward. They were not mates, he didnt even know if she even considered him a 'lover' though he thought him to be the only one she had been with. Still, he wouldnt push on a spill of question. Would he be allowed in the children's lives? What would they be named? Did she want to be mates? He was the father right?

a deep inhale.

"no."

he didn't ask- there was no need for the obvious. and honestly ruo was thankful to avoid the uncomfortable 'you are the father' reality show. he was the only one she had ever been with, and the only one who could be the father. there was no doubt.

"i'm going back." the time was near, and she only wished for a bit of air before once again becoming a recluse within her den.

the siren didn't know if it was a fortune to see him again, or an unfortunate encounter.. however, he did deserve to be there.

"come in a week."

and then, he could see them.

She tells him no, says that she is going back inside the opening of the rocky rise. He nods, though she does not dismiss him fully by telling him to return in a weeks time. It would be soon, very soon. 

He would not stray. 

Of the island, to the river and across the beaches to the plateau and back again. To the forest of allies. All here which he searched for Ying but he could not any longer. He had to stay. Had to be here for Ruo, for their pups... 

He breaths deep and hops atop the rock, ascending towards Ruo just as she would make her way down. Fiery eyes brush of her and his head turns away. Eyes to the heavens now, a smile on his face.
