Totoka River let it spill quietly from your hands

AW, but bonechewers especially welcome to cameo/join. set for today (the 11th), but keeping it vague due to this thread -

following her encounter with ferahgo, caiaphas had irritatedly set to marking ankyra's borders with a furious passion. each branch was agitated by her urine, each rock snagged fervently with her fur. she had patrolled the perimeters of the forest with extra vigil, snaking through the snow and fern to ensure the self-proclaimed pirate had not gone back and trespassed while she had performed her marking duties. that night she had slept fitfully (for a variety of reasons not exactly relating to her encounter with the pirate) and in the morning she had alerted @Vlad to her departure and had head southwest down the shore.

she suspected the male had set shop somewhere along the coast -- he distinctively smelled of brine -- his tracks faded in and out of her progress and at length she grew frustrated and just simply traveled down the shore. as she drew closer to the tokota river one thing became apparent -- there was heavy traffic around the area, and it was obvious from tracks and scents alone the river's borders were frequently traveled. she was perplexed, however -- for the area bore no scent markings or declarations of claim. she picked her way towards the delta, where the river spilled into the ocean -- here she figured she could drink, rest briefly, and perhaps continue her investigations after a brief respite.
