it was unfair that erzulie had just chosen a rendezvous for her daughters, only to be driven back into the forest at the western edge of the coast by the rain. open as the moors were for prey, they proved empty save for boulders, distantly spaced trees. 
the rain had never stopped.
bedraggled and with the damp speaking in her ageing bones, the harlot at last clucked to @Arcelia and @Solaire, where she had found them among their new playground. with them in tow, she had returned to the densite for @Rosalyn and little @Chacal. @Clementine was given charge of @Regin, and erzulie gathered @Valravn to her side as well, keeping her mismatched gaze upon him as they moved.
she looked to @Aningan now, then swung her muzzle through the air sparkling with rain toward @Raleska. would she come? lastly @Rosencrantz, and she was steadied by the sight of the archangel. @Rowan had quietly departed some time ago; she found the end of his trail drifting elsewhere, and it seemed @Tundra might have as well.
for now, however, erzulie's attention was upon the escort of the young ones, and they crossed the moors quietly, toward the tight forest of elm and oak. it had been a long while since rusalka was veiled by tree cover; the harlot sniffed at the dry loam here, gazing at each member in turn before she sighed, turning first to her wife and then to their polar-bear leader.
