Lucky for War, Nyra had well attuned ears. The giantess heard the heavy footfalls as they arrived in the night, catching the scent of one of their most recent recruits. War. 

Restless pacing heard from outside, the War Phoenix gently rose, making sure Lotus was cozied in towards the back of the den before the alphess emerged, hellfire gold eyes taking in the redfur before her, of equal size to herself.
As if she could guess what their newest warrior desired, the Empress murmured quietly "Not here. My daughter must sleep." 

With that, Nyra prowled further into the trees, stopping in a space out of sight of her den, but well within hearing distance in case Lotus called for her.
Finally, she turned to face War, stance wide and firmly planted.
