perhaps it was the woman's youth, perhaps it was erzulie's own soft heart, but they did not depart sapphique without a small bundle of starter herbs for lorelai's use.
it was a day's journey and so she set out early with the young woman, keeping an eye upon her as they traveled.
she knew that the young woman would want to give birth within her own home; as the forest loomed before them, she felt her own children turning within and smiled gently at her companion. 
"i will stay close for a day. sacrarium is close. when it be time, i will hear you."
she tilted her head and called for violante.
