Like a yearling colt she frisked sideways, tail lashing in broad circles behind her. She crooned, a fragmented but nevertheless very happy sound. Her jittering jaw clicked her teeth together, as she felt relief flood through her. Now, she could look forward to seeing her old friends, and getting to know her new siblings. 

With assured gentleness, she swooped down to pick up the plant she had brought, and crow-hopped along, glancing coyly over her shoulder hoping to lead her mothers to a suitable planting site.
It can be assumed that if Chacal is speaking, she will be singing. Her speaking patterns will always have a melodic quality to them.
