I'm tired.

Deep in the den, did the mother lay. The den was covered in but wild grass, untended like it had been abandoned, but instead it was simply ignored as the wolf inside deeply nested in, unmoving. Her own fur was but dirty and mangled, she had not moved in some time, especially hearing her daughter's desire to leave.

I just want to lay down.

Oh how much she prayed, for not only Asmoses's return, for the safety of her daughter.. And for any family love, to return. All that she felt, was a misery. Miriam felt she tried hard, trying to fix problems others have, only to be brushed off unneeded. How she wanted to find her lost boy, but at the same time she had a daughter, who now hated her mother so much, she wished to leave.

I just want to sleep.

Before her so, was bright red berry, so bright it contrasted the soft grays of the maiden mother. Silver eyes glanced at so, droplets but just falling slightly. With but a weakened body, from days without but a morsel to her name, a paw reached out.. And swallowed.

I just want to die.

On that day Caerus had seeked out Miriam to ask her for help in gathering a herb he wished to study; he trusted her presence more than the other healer, and had spent pleasant times with her before. When he came across her den, all was quiet- and he wondered if she was there at all, nearly considering moving on to look for her elsewhere, but decided to inspect. When he looked within, he first thought her asleep. Body so still, and quiet, and then sunlight caught the ruby-red berries that were beside her, the branch partly cleared as if consumed. What were they? He was not familiar enough with the plant to know, but his heartbeat quickened and he entered, leaning down over her, miriam, miriam? He spoke, and then cried her name louder; what had happened? He did not want Liliana to experience the loss he had had with Cupid (unknowing of the tension between Miriam and her daughter.) And so Caerus sat beside her, and raised his forepaws to roll over her willowy little body, beginning to pump at her stomach like he once had for Jackalope.

being vague!
assuming this is post-border thread(?)

caerus…? she called, what are you- liliana stopped herself, confused by what she was seeing.

she stepped further into the den, only then realizing the urgency of the situation. having never been directly confronted by death, she couldn’t have known how close it lingered.

yana pushed caerus, hardly enough to move him but with some frantic force. why isn’t she moving? what.. what did you do? she asked. her legs carried her urgently back into the open where she called immediately for @Mal.

Her mind was wavering with images of what her life was. She wavered between her own loving mother, coo'ing her to sleep and her father, rest his soul, but a blurry image of what he was. She never knew him, for he passed away as a warrior of the Horned God, but every once in a while, did she see her papa. He faded between dreams and reality, alongside her own mother..

And then her little two, one with tears and the other with anger, a shattering image that stirred her in her the once eternal slumber. Though she didn't wake, only vaguely feel but a substance coming from her throat. Miriam remained unconscious, and within her nightmare of dreams, did she whisper, "I'm sorry," through the slobber of vomit of the pumping of her stomach.

Even as Liliana came in, Caerus tried to focus on his work. He pumped and pumped and soon, even in her sleep, she was beginning to vomit up bits of the red berry, already chewed into a goop (ew). Caerus paused to glance at Liliana in the manner of a busy doctor, seemingly calm and yet hurried, she ate something that made her go unconscious. He looked back to Miriam as his sister called for Mal- and was determined to keep pushing. Until she coughed herself awake his work here wasn't done.

Mal wasn't used to hearing someone call for him that urgently. Usually trouble had its way of finding Mal all on its own. But Liliana's call was rather concerning, so of course, he hurried his way on over lickety-split. Miriam's den? Uhhh. Sudden memories of Cupid, but maybe that was just because Caerus was here by the smell of it.

What's going on? he asked, even as he ducked into the entry. But as his eyes adjusted he knew it was wrong, even without full context. Vomit, Caerus stomping on Miriam --- all of it was kinda wrong. He took a couple of steps back to call for @Aibreann, but he wasn't so sure how close she was. But this was definitely a case where she would be welcome to show up 'cause Mal himself was out of his league. Okay, he wouldn't be surprised if Cupid had taught Caerus a thing or two too, but look, Liliana had already lost her brother to whatever void was out there, she didn't need to lose her mother as well. What happened-- Someone would answer, wouldn't they? Because he didn't have a clue what, why or why the why happened in the first place. Mal was no psychologist.
