Males will have the seeds and the females will grow them in their bellies. Deer do the same as well, and bison, and hares and foxes," she explained.

"They have the seeds in their penis. We don't have them. Did you ever realize that your brother is different from you?," she asked. She wasn't sure if Clary ever paid attention to it. "I don't know why females only can grow pups but nature decided that it is so," she explained. Valette hoped that the things she said were true but in a way, it made sense to her.
