All Welcome
ramesses could not shake the desire that clung to him even after he and satsu parted ways.
he returned restless and consumed to his chambers. with a bark he summoned @Jawahir, bidding her to bring the woman @Sayyadina to him at once.
the jewel would hear the echo of his voice and its undertone. all hungers stood awake tonight.

the courtesan waited in the dark for sign of the sun, knowing he would seek out his shabti and growing bitter because of it. gone were the days where jawahir was his favored one, they felt. it was simpler when he was beneath the rule of the saints rather than fighting against them, they thought; at least in those days jawahir held his full attention.

yet they would be there to attend him, as was their role. swiftly they went to the alcove where sayyadina rested, to collect them. come now, he asks for you. jawahir had said to her, being more curt than necessary, their mood a touch foul.

when they arrived it was with serpentine movements and overt displays for pharaoh. so easy to assume this character because it was so close to jawahir's truth; adoration beamed from them, and at their heel moseyed the new addition.

Jawahir had shown Sayyadina the Mesa and provided a brief introduction into the responsibilities of the Fellahin. The woman followed orders astutely until she had been shown to her sleeping quarters. There she rested and regained her strength from traveling.

It was that same Fellahin who’s sharp voice urged Sayyadina awake. She promptly rose up, fur amess from bedhead. “Yes,” she complied with a whisper, attempting to smooth our her ruff as they walked briskly towards the throne room. Sayyadina followed Jawahir at her haunch respectfully, heart pitter-pattering in anticipation.

As the pair entered the throne room, Sayyadina could see the change in Jawahir’s persona. She almost transformed into a different animal. The bi-face stopped her approach when it seemed appropriate, amber eyes to the ground respectfully but in their periphery… the golden feet of Pharoah.

jawahir caught all of pharaoh upon entry; he kissed and stroked the desert rose as if there were no others within his throne room. "on the field of battle i thought of you," he purled into the satining of one long ear.
in time the lazuli stare shifted to the exquisite, striking features of the new woman.
delicately built but without an awkwardness to her figure. she stepped gracefully and respected him at once. ramesses was captivated by the way she bent her slim neck in his regard. "where did you find her?" he asked of jawahir.

jawahir brushed against the man, letting the gold intermingle with the nut-brown of their own coat, thrilled by it. thrilled also by his words, which brought a spiel of laughter out of them.
they kissed, caressed, and danced around pharaoh until his attention shifted; then, knowing where his eyes traveled, jawahir traced a similar look across the pied features of the woman.
among the ridge-lines of the vale, of all places, they said with some incredulity, and then laughed again, winding towards sayyadina - fortunate for this one, those beasts would have had her for dinner, a look to ramesses then, bright, wild; instead, you have her for dessert.

Sayyadina did not look long, but she spied the rain of adoration upon Jawahir and the look of satisfaction upon His glorious face. She smiled to herself, thinking how wonderful it was that their lord may be brought such pleasure by their kind. It was a blessing to serve Pharaoh, and Sayyadina was happy for Jawahir.

His attentions turned back towards the pied woman and she bowed her neck like a swan. She stood steady beneath the Emporer’s discerning gaze. Jawahir made an implication which made Sayyadina’s expression soften, but she remained silent until spoken to.

ramesses was delighted.
first by jawahir, and second by the continued obeisance. "look at me," he softly commanded, pulling from his jewel to stand before the new fellahin.
"tell me your name."
the vale! so she truly was a war-chest. ramesses glinted with the want to pass his hands through the shimmer of pearls and gilt.

much as they wanted to linger, they saw the way pharaoh ignited with the attention of this new woman, and knew from experience what that meant.
there was no room for jawahir in this moment.
despite understanding these things, and for knowing the moment was short in reality, to the mumis it was endless; for that time span, they loathed sayyadina.
still, they wove around ramesses and basked in his glow.

He treasured her like a gemstone, admiring her brilliance and faceting. The new Fellahin felt adored. Her amber eyes flicked up to observed Pharoah’s handsome face. “Sayyadina,” she told him. “I wish only to serve you,” she added.

last for me <333

jawahir was gone.
ramesses stepped closer.
"you will serve me, sayyadina." upon her striking face was perhaps the makings of another golden idol.
only time and intrigue might tell.
