Following a patrol that led to a successful hunt, Lilia cut a path that would take her toward Avicus’ den, so she might drop off half of the rabbit she’d caught. She didn’t intend to offend by bringing only half of it- but she was too hungry herself and in need of nutrients after having chased a coyote away from the borders, so she’d consumed the rabbit up to its midsection. 

The haunches she brought as a meal, modest as it was. She grinned over its tawny, fluffy fur at the kid who sat just outside the den, chewing a stick with mighty concentration. 

She dropped the rabbit’s haunch. ”What ya got there, pipthkweak?” She asked, sidling a bit closer.
