At some point, in the disorienting desert heat, Shadowpaw had become separated from Wren and her children. Wren had the better nose and so the dark girl quickly lost whatever meager trace of Silvertongue's scent had been left among the barren scrim.

Dusty and dry-mouthed, Shadopaw slumped beneath a plinth of rock and hid in its shade until the sun sank low enough to warrant traveling again. When the dusky sky glowed purple she looked to the stars, prayed to them, and began to travel again... unaware she was headed into the wasp's nest.

the stars beamed down upon silvertongue, swallowing her in rushes of alabaster light. the stars were displeased; she heard their voices and knew it was the clan who lived among them speaking now. disconnected daily from her sense of self, silvertongue existed in swimming green and streamers of blue. but her mind would never forget crowfeather no matter what they did to her flesh. hobbled by a dilution given scant hours ago, silvertongue stared at the moon, at the dusting of stars, and then at the shadow which morphed and corrupted itself as it approached from a distance across the sand.

When Shadowpaw spotted Silvertongue she almost didn’t believe it. From a distance, the sterling wolf was sat peacefully beneath the low moon watching the stars. It made the girl pause…

Is she here on her own accord? the girl thought and wondered if Wren had been completely wrong.

Her large ears turned, uncertain. Then she walked forth.

“Silvertongue?” Shadowpaw rasped, her throat dry.

Yet as she drew closer it became evident something was horribly wrong.

If you could describe Silvertongue’s state/appearence/condition in the next post I’d appreciate it :D

certainly! she's sort of bruised up all over, dirt in her fur, teethmarks in her nape but any scratches or scrapes have healed. mostly she is very thin and visibly 'out of it.'

that voice — she knew it, she knew it. one ear tilting, then the sharp muzzle presented in profile. she knew the voice, the name bobbing just beyond the edges of her ability to grab for it. but danger was beating in her belly, a primal mother's fear, and she rose on her shaking legs; ir. vete ahora!" her voice was a spidery hiss as she snapped the air, forcing the blurry figure back, away, away from what lay behind silvertongue.
