It's finally time :'^) come get y'all trades. EDIT: Making this go by rounds so post freely since there's a good amount of people in this and I'm still expecting Emrik. There will be like 3??? rounds not sure really this is just set up to let the scouts do their thing after this post is made.
It's hard to deny winter's presence when snow still covers the land, but if they were not careful the days would pass fast. Spring was coming, it was evident with the return of most prey. The Count couldn't be more pleased that they survived. Nature had thrown everything she had at them, yet here they were, still standing. It had been rough, but it proved their worth and solidified that Kaistleoki was here to stay. The only thing left was to reclaim what was theirs.
Spring meant pups and there was no doubt in the Count's mind that there would be at least one more litter from Speedy this year. The plains were no place to raise their young, they had to reclaim the river now. Standing near the edge of their plains, Ira looked out towards the forest and tilted her head back. The call echoed through the early morning, beckoning a few she had selected for the expedition.
@Connor who had expressed a strong interest to lend his strength, @Evergreen who knew the land better than even the founding members, and @Emrik a scout she had seen in action after visiting Easthollow. Originally she planned to travel with the group, but she didn't want to spread their numbers too thin.

Evergreen awakes to the sound of the call. Early morning left the bear snoozing alongside @Winterbourne, and not wanting to move. The cold has been unpleasant, but at the sound of Ira’s beckoning, he isn’t one to argue more than necessary. He gets to his feet slowly, planting a kiss atop his mate’s head and bringing promise that he would return shortly.
He arrives at the edge of Kaistleoki’s temporary domain. Ira is posed towards the forest of their river. Excitement immediately blossoms within the bear. He quickens his pace, tail wagging behind him with a broad grin across his round cheeks.

Is it time?!He says, louder than he meant to.

The male was sunbathing with his head swiveling from side to side to examine his surroundings. His hears shot up when he heard the summoning howl of Ira, the man's eyebrows raised in curiosity as leaped from his resting place and trotted with purpose towards the howl. Connor bounded through trees with excitement, who knows what the count had in store for him, but once she came into view, he slowed to a professional walk so he didn't look childish. The muscular man stalked up to Ira and noticed that the former count was with her and boy was he enthusiastic. The cinnamon male, of course, dipped his head in greeting to the count with his emerald eyes beaming with excitement.
The bear wolf wagged his tail and expressed his excitement by asking if it was time, Connor burst into a smile as he looked at Evergreen then looked back at Ira with the same enthusiasm. The large man wagged his tail and looked at the count with his ears forward for he couldn't wait for what they were going to do next.

I noticed it was a pack activity, so I thought I'd pop in. Let me know if this is a private thing ooc, and I'll delete this post. :)
Inna was inspecting a pheasant feather when she overheard the Count's call. She had not been called, but she decided to show up anyway. After learning of the pack's displacement, Inna had been reconsidering her plan to only stay for the winter. Her conversation with Soleil had also intrigued her, and she decided to stick around for the spring. The Count had not mentioned why she was calling, but Inna had a pretty good guess.
Inna approached the three wolves tentatively. She wasn't sure what she was afraid of- but she wondered if she was making a bad decision coming without permission. She was glad the other wolves seemed to be in a good mood, which all but confirmed her assumption.
"Um, I hope this isn't private. If it is, I'll leave. I just-" Inna nervously twitched her tail. "Well, I know I'm making an assumption, but if this is about returning to the river, I'd like to offer my help. I might be useful in, um... noticing things. You see, I'm worried about the mountain snow melting to form new-" Inna cut herself off. She was not going to go on another of her rambles. "Sorry." She apologized with a blush.

Posting again to keep this moving!
He isn’t the only one swift to arrive at the scene. A man of cinnamon, black and white arrives after—Connor, if Eve recalls. The grin is returned towards him, with a good natured dip of his head in greeting. It is good to see fellow members of Kaistleoki that are eager to return to their homelands.
Even one of their newest arrives. Her nervous rambling reminds him of his own quirks, and he gives her an encouraging smile. Although he is no leader of them any longer, seeing others take opportunities to learn and grow always warms the bear’s heart.
It’s alright,he reassures,
It would be good to have an extra set of eyes and ears. Co— Count Ira, uhm, if I may,he pauses, shifting his attention from Inna to the roan wolf who called them together.
I’d like to offer escorting Inna and showing her Whitefish. Maybe I can teach her more about the pack as we scout.

also moving this along, if Emrik shows up late he can still go! If it's just you three it would probably be faster to keep to the same threads, feel free to talk OOC and agree on some neat new inner territory locations from the quakes to report! Ideas: cave formations, fallen tree hollows/structures, pools/ponds from the land flooding etc. I'd say make at least 2 threads in whitefish river to fulfill all the tasks, 3 if The group splits.
Faces quickly approached, although one unexpected. There was no surprise Evergreen and Connor had been quick to respond, both were eager for their own reasons and this had been long over due. It was Inna she turned to. Emrik knew the land as well as Evergreen, it was why she had chosen him as an original member of Kaistleoki for this expedition. In other circumstances, she might have denied the new member's request to join, but her memory went back to her joining. Inna knew nature.
Before the Count even had a chance to answer, Evergreen spoke up, requesting to aid her on the expedition. As things were currently, her party was down a member and she could find no good argument as to why Inna shouldn't be allowed to join.
Ira paused, her attention turned to the plains in case Emrik was on his way, but the coast in front of her remained as empty as the land's name suggested.
Ira was sure if any issues arose, the former Count would be capable of handling them. Originally, she had planned to make the trip too, but as things were she was needed more here. Speaking of which, Ira mentally noted the need to check on Emrik after they were done.

Very well. It appears you all have no need for an explanation. I have called upon those I saw fit to travel to the old territory and assess living conditions.

I had anticipated Emrik's arrival, but Inna will take his place as a budding Woodward. For now, you will move as one team. Evergreen, you know the land best so you will take charge for this journey. Have Inna observe the fauna and plants to ensure both are plentiful and that no dangers have moved in during our absence. Connor, I'd like you to move along the perimeters, perhaps show the start of our return and keep your eyes out for suitable denning sites.

As for Emrik, I will seek him out and ensure things are alright. If he ends up joining, you may split into two groups. Evergreen with Inna and Connor with Emrik. Your party is to depart as soon as you are all ready and report back in a few days if possible. The river is not far so the trip should not be long. Hopefully, your return will be with good news. Are there any inquiries before I leave you?

I’m so sorry I missed this tag!
He panted heavily, rushing to respond to Ira’s lingering howl. He had wandered from the territories edge, following a small herd of deer near the Great Lake who had split from the main group. “Ira.” He called as he jogged up, “I’m sorry I’m late.” His head dipped in submission, his sides expanding rapidly.
His eyes roamed the others gathered, curious. He dipped his head at Evergreen as well, still deeply indebted for originally accepting Speedy into the ranks. “Are we going somewhere?” Ira had mentioned sending out a scouting party to seek out returning to the River, and Emrik had a sneaking suspicion that this was what they were all meeting about. “Connor, Inna.” He smiled glancing between everyone.
Common
"Well, we'll just have to get to know each other a little better."

Connor listened to the words of the Count with the utmost respect and he gave her all of his focus, he was so in his zone that he almost fogged out everyone that was around him. But at the corner of his eye, he saw the former Count, Evergreen, come into his view and gave a dip of his crown as a gesture of respect. The cinnamon titan almost looked like he was scrambling in confusion but he quickly recovered by giving a dip of his head to Evergreen with a small smile on his face and just to do it, he slightly wagged his tail. Nailed it, he thought to himself as he turned back to Ira.
The Count wasted no time on giving assignments, she assigned the wolves that were present into teams and Connor was to be assigned to work with Emrik. According to Ira, this wolf knew of the old Kaisteloki territory, the large man blinked with interest and turned his head to Emrik. The wolf greeted Connor with a smile and the man returned the gesture with a smile and a curt nod, he also added a slight wag to his tail.

Inna acknowledged Emrik with a polite nod before turning back to Ira.
"No questions here."

I'm good to end here! Go get those move threads :'^)
As if on que, Emrik appeared racing across the plains to join the small group. Perhaps Speedy had kept him from, well...a speedy arrival. The Count gave a curt nod as he apologized
There seemed to be no questions as the rest remained silent and waiting. There was plenty of time for the others to fill in Emrik, so she wouldn't see to repeating the whole of her speech.
If once again they had no questions, Ira would turn to tend to her other duties while the scouts departed.
Glad you could join us. I was just giving out tasks to reclaim Whitefish River.

Emrik, you will travel with Connor as your partner. You know the land so you will inspect the core of the territory and lead our new Herald to the destination. You are to leave today after any proper preparations are made, that's all I have to say. I hope all of you return with good news so we may move by weeks end.
