Having been born in the outside realm where Nereides culture was woefully absent, there were certain parts of Caiaphas' psyche that had yet to be fully immersed in their psychology. When Spyridon flew upward in surprise and immediately (and profusely) extended an apology, Caiaphas only returned his actions with a brief stare of bewilderment.

She was hard-nosed in many aspects, but resting was not one of them -- Caiaphas enjoyed sleep more than many, and while not lazy, was often content to slumber.
