like the battered male, caiaphas fell silent following his words. he was not wrong -- life was long, and often filled to the brim with troubles. it was all a mother could do to keep those troubles at bay.

caiaphas, of course, had failed in that edict more way than one. finding their conversation concluded (and her own thoughts darkening), the sylph turned back for the sound with a new shadow not far behind.
