All Welcome
They had made small, scattered camps. Some were within the valley north of the glacier, others due south of it, with Kigipigak ranging between each of them through the no-mans land. He did not cross in to the claimed space of the Duskfire wolves; it did not feel right, as much as he was drawn toward the sight of it.

He lingered on the border where Kukutux and Aiolos had crossed before. They had gone to make introductions and had left him to protect the children, mind the camps, and keep apprised of the herd. All of these things he did as efficiently as he could, but his mind wandered.

The smell of wet pine, the sight of his breath in the air, the feeling of his steps crunching through thin patches of snow, all of it reminded him of home. He pined for the north on most days and could manage this desire well enough; yet here where everything was frosted and familiar, Kigipigak found it difficult.

He trailed along the border now, trying to remain invested in the study of the distant herds that the hunters of Moonglow and Duskfire would soon seek out, yet, his eyes returned to the mighty glacier at every chance.
