He had kept track over @Haoming along with his son. The little girl seemingly enjoying Jin's prescene as Olo too kept close with Ruo. It had taken some convincing to have all these pups traveling off the island and across a large expanse of fields and meadow. Especially those even younger then he and his Empress' kin. But with her convincing, Ruo's and others, Aiolos had decided it worth the risk.
It was a long stretch for the young, though many were happy to see the mainland-the seemingly endless rolling green, the forest they came to and the Moonspear looming not far off in the distance. Aiolos had embraced the Neverwinter forest once more, guiding Huojin and Ruo to the location which he had stated during his weeks here training the forest wolves. It was but a little hollow nestled against a knoll. Not much. Not even enough for Aiolos to join and a tight fit for the two of them...but it was something for the time being to ward off the rains.

god.
fucking.
damn it.
how she knew it was a much needed move, but how much ruo loathed the idea. she made it abundantly clear even upon the discussion of moving inland how much she hated it..
but again, it was needed. so she couldn't object.
but god.
fucking.
damn it.
annoyed her so now they'd have to burrow in the ground to avoid the rainfall.
"thank you." she said, despite clear irritation for their situation.

huojin didn’t mind. it was uncomfortable, but at least he couldn’t get dunked.
huojin stayed above ground for the sake of visibility, then waited for one of the two to explain.
thank you, baba.he wasn’t sure why they were thanking aiolos, but he didn’t mind; he liked his dad, even more than he liked his mother.

Aiolos knew Ruo's irritation. It was written all over the scowl which was on her face. But her thanks was always appreciated and Jin's equal acceptance, despite maybe not understanding why, caused the red wolf to smile.
We'll definitely have to find us somethimg better then this.He grumbled, shaking out his coat (probably splashing them in the process) as he plopped to the ground.
We had to do it.Said to them, to mostly Ruo, though obviously was still trying to tell himself this too.
Its a bit...suffocating, at times. He spoke in regards to how thick and deep this forest was, towering with evergreen. A beautiful forest, but not open and hard to see the sky like his family enjoyed.
The Neverwinter wolves are good allies, good wolves. Our pups are safe here.Which is what mattered most.

why?huojin didn’t understand exactly why they’d moved, and thought that there was no better time to ask than this since aiolos seemed willing to share.
mama, what suf - cia - ting?he asked under his breath.
neverwinter, from what he could understand, was the name of the forest they were now living in.
αρκετά, huojin whispered with a nod. yes, this place was very nice.

"it's when you can't breathe." which is an accurate feeling to how the siren felt; surrounded by tree's was not a liking, as she preferred the wide ocean, and sandy beaches. they may be a nice forest, and nice wolves, but it couldn't replace what was her home.
ruo sighed, "i know we have to."
"maybe at least huojin can make friends, or something." that was about as much as she was going to get out of the situation.

Maybe. Based on my previous time here there should be a few litters. How many, he didnt know, but he knew Mal had previously mentioned 'mothers' within the pack, which implied more then one. He would figure it out sooner or later, he supposed.
Turning his attention then down to Jin,
Its only for a little while. Until all the storms go away. The rain.He explained.
The wolves who live here are our allies - friends.

像水下, huojin muttered. his voice was low, but he made sure to speak loud enough that ruò might hear.
how, uh.. they..— a frustrated sigh —
他们像我们一样说话吗?making friends would be difficult otherwise, due to his poor language skills.
regardless, he could understand the common language well enough for most conversations to make sense, even if they were totally one-sided.

she forgotten how popular breeding season was, and how many packs were simply bursting with newborns. she was only blessed with a single son, and while same may not like, she was glad her needs only had to suit for one. ruo couldn't say for certain, if she wanted more children in the future.
she loved her son, but it definitely felt motherhood was not for her.
"they speak english," ruo said, "our mother-tongue will be rare, only Yuelong wolves will know."
"make sure to try with your father on it," she smiled, definitely knowing the lion did not know mandarin and said so teasingly.
but her son spoke three languages, "you'll manage, i believe in you," she said, swipping a teasing paw over his head.

He listened to his son, gingered ears perking. He caught 'water' and 'talk like us?' to which Ruo explained. Aiolos did not speak the exotic tongue of the Yuelong women (which really only consisted of Ruo and Hua now) though he now after his time with them had a well understanding of it. Speaking however, yeah that he just couldnt seem to wrap his tongue around. A tongue which stuck out at Ruo regarding her comment.
He knew Ruo would likely keep to herself, but at least she would have somewhat of an understanding of these wolves should she see them around. Especially if she saw them around Huojin.
It will be good practice for you.He spoke to Jin in regards to his lack of common tongue. Then to them both:
Mal is the Leader here, he is pretty laid back. Simmik is his second, an arctic looking wolf. And the sisters, Valencia and Vallkyrie. Both tall, dark coats with white markings. Those four are the ones you'll most likely run into. Those are the four I know.At least, when he had last been here the other wolves, whoever they were, were either pregnant or tending to new pups. Aiolos obviously was not allowed close to those locations to have ever met them.

huojin tried to keep himself from becoming overwhelmed at the thought of being stuck here without any means of communication with most of their packmates. what if something happened, and his mother wasn’t around? or if something happened to her, and he needed to tell someone?
he glanced upward at ruò, then remembered all of things she’d done to him, and decided that maybe this wasn’t such a bad thing. he didn’t really speak much anyway, and having to struggle a bit seemed like a fair trade for such pretty scenery.

too many wolves she didn't care about. ruo wasn't an ambassador, she was only someone who wanted to lay by the sea and watch the stars- occasionally tell the weather.
"alright, go off and play huojin, find some friends."

Having taking note that Ruo had enough for his jabbering, he smiles and turns his attention to Huojin. Where often he could settle and enjoy only the noises of the world around them, it was Huojin, who, as it might seem, he shared more words with. The pup, unlike Ruo, had many questions, wanted to know many things, learn and understand.
Aiolos enjoyed being needed the way his son made him feel.

Come on, the rains have lighted up. I can show you around the forest? The fiery wolf urged, tail waving, ready to show him off and allow Ruo some quiet time to herself.

i’m going to archive — start a new one for olo and jin, maybe?
while he really didn’t want to go play or make friends, huojin was curious to learn more about their new home. he stumbled from their smushed resting place into the bright open, wide eyes waiting quite impatiently for aiolos to take the lead.
